The CSTEP-1 is a portable, budget-minded grommet hand press for occasional use. As it happens, the ClipsShop CSTEP-1 grommet attacher is an economical and reliable manual press. Accordingly, for almost 2 decades, thousands of CSTEP-1 owners worldwide have benefitted from the simplicity of their user-friendly CSTEP-1 grommet attacher.
The CSTEP-1 is a MANUAL PRESS. As such, it is the hand pressure applied by the operator which sets a grommet. The force exerted by the press operator is critical to the tightness of the attached grommets. Lastly, the consistency of the grommet application is also dependent on the pressure applied by the operator.
For many, the entry-level CSTEP-1 was an upgrade from an old-fashioned hand tool and hammer. Since then, many have upgraded again to the ClipsShop CSTEP-2 press. Regardless, it is recommended that the CSTEP-1 be used for smaller-size grommets and periodic use.

Notes: The CSTEP-1 grommet machine requires a ClipsShop 2-piece self-piercing die set to attach the grommets. Additionally, the die-set should match in size to the corresponding grommets. In other words, a #2 grommet with a 3/8" hole size is attached with a #2 self-piercing die.
